Job Title: Seasonal Farm Hand

 

Job Description: The Seasonal Farm Hand (SFH) will assist in varying farm tasks which include but are not limited to field maintenance, harvesting flowers, planting, driving deliveries, and more.  It is crucial that the SFH is capable of doing physically demanding work in the heat or rain.  While this is highly labor intensive work, it is satisfying work.  The SFH will be expected to work in all weather (with the exception of thunder/lightening).

 

Responsibilities:

• Field maintenance—weeding, weed eating, mowing, watering, fertilizing, mulching, etc

• Harvesting flowers—cleaning/prepping buckets, cutting/bunching flowers

• Planting—direct seeding or planting out transplants

• Delivering—occasionally driving deliveries using a Creekside delivery vehicles.

 

Qualifications:

• Self Starter, independent and able to solve problems on your own

• One or more years of farm-related experience

• Teachable spirit with a positive attitude

• Able to lift 50 pounds consistently and to work on hands and knees as needed

• Able to work on your own with little supervision or interaction with others

 

Hours/Pay:

• 16-24 hours per week

• June - October

• Compensation based on experience

• Employed as an independent contractor
